Additionally, the annual fall event has added conversations with Ken Jennings, Kate Berlant and Jacqueline Novak, Vivek Murthy, Danny Meyer and Amelia Dimoldenberg and Megan Stalter. And St. Vincent, Lucy Dacus and Rufus Wainwright are all set to perform.
The festival will also host the New York premiere of the Netflix documentary The New Yorker at 100, directed by Marshall Curry. And there will be talks with authors Percival Everett and Ian Frazier and Jamaica Kincaid as well as a live taping of The New Yorker's culture podcast featuring Padma Lakshmi and roundtables about the internet's role in public life ("The New Political Arena"), living in a tech-dominated world ("Recalibrating for the Digital Age") and the Supreme Court and rule of law ("Justice on Trial").
Master classes and interactive events set for the October event include "The Art of the New Yorker Cartoon" with Roz Chast and Liana Finck and a trivia battle between New Yorker editors and writers.
These additional events join previously announced conversations with Sarah Jessica Parker, Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, Salman Rushdie, Lina Khan, George Saunders and Zadie Smith, as well as a performance and conversation with Jonathan Groff and a roundtable on profile writing.
The 2025 New Yorker Festival, celebrating the magazine's 100th anniversary, will take place in New York from Oct. 24-26.
